District Speech
On March 1, the Diagonal speech team took 2 pieces to the Individual Event District Contest in Mount Ayr. Both ladies received a Division Two rating, which is considered very good.
Rebecca Hoffman performed a prose piece called “Bear Stays up for Christmas” by Karma Wilson. Jaylynn Doolittle performed a poetry reading by Shel Silverstein. Coach Pam Hoffman said, “They both did a good job and represented Diagonal very well. We can all be proud of them!”
